Doodles – Week 1

23 Jan

One of the assignments for my illustration course was getting a cheap lined notebook and doodle away.

The instructor’s reasoning is that a cheap, lined sheet of paper is liberating. It’s not intimidating. You know you’re not about to create a masterpiece, so – no pressure!

I bought a notebook in a dollar store and started… and it really was liberating. My doodles, quite predictably, took me to the thoughts on motherhood.

This was a big one; the rest are smaller doodles here and there.
